Skiing and Snowboarding

Do you like snow sports? While it doesn’t snow in most of Gunma, those lucky Northern Gunma JETs get plenty to go around! There are three major ski resorts in Gunma and they are all beautiful. There will be a ski trip later on this winter but, if you would like to try skiing or snowboarding on your own, check out the ski resorts in Katashina, Minakami, and Agatsuma areas!

Ashikaga Flower Park

Christmas is over but illuminations are still in full effect! Check out the New Year illumination display at this easily accessible Flower Park! The illuminations will take place from now until February, so go see them while you still can 🎇

Onsens in Gunma!

Need to warm up?  Go to one of the many onsens in Gunma! Ikaho and Kusatsu are both very famous and extremely beautiful. There are still many others to experience and now is the perfect time!

Bunpro is an excellent learning tool for Japanese learners. They are currently offering a discount to all active JET members. Please contact hello@bunpro.jp to get the discount. You will need your JET number to be eligible for the discount.
