The Shibukawa Belly Button Festival has been held since 1984 with "Japan's Bellybutton" as the theme, because Shibukawa City is located in the center of the Japanese islands.

Voted the best float festival in Northern Kanto, the Shibukawa Float Festival is a three day event where participating towns send lavishly decorated floats to parade through the city.
