This is before our final event, the beer garden, as well as our last R.U.F.F before summer break! Come and enjoy laughs and drinks with our dear friends who are heading back home this summer!

🧡 We raised ¥65,500 for our chosen charity, the Gunma Satoyama School, from our I Can Japan Charity event!

🧡 Thank you to everyone who came to sell, buy, and participate in our morning flea market and trivia! A big thank you to @gunmajomojet for coming and helping out, it was so much fun. And a big thank you to anyone who donated funds or equipment to the school. The teachers and students were delighted to receive so many things!

🧡 It was heartwarming to see so many of you come out to support this event. Working on the JET Programme and in education, it is important that we help and support each other to keep learning.

We are only two days away from the I CAN JAPAN Cha

We are only two days away from the I CAN JAPAN Charity Event on Saturday! Make sure to come out and support us in raising funds for the Gunma Satoyama School! The school runs completely off donations and gives students of all ages an opportunity to learn in a supportive environment! Whatever you can afford to donate helps!
They are also in need of supplies such as art supplies (specifically white board markers), sports equipment (soccer balls, volleyballs etc.), cooking utensils (pots and pans), and cleaning supplies (brooms and dust pans). If you have any of these items that you would like to donate we will be collecting them at the event as well. See you there!

It’s that time of year again… Farewell Beer Garden!

🍻Come join us to say goodbye and a final おつかれさま to all our leaving JETs. Let’s send them off with a blast! Enjoy all you can drink/eat (nomi/tabehodai) Takashimaya Beer Garden, next to Takasaki Station on July 27th!

🍻Reservation can hold up to 40 people, so FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!

There will be congestion this year so it is recommended to come around 4:30 to begin line-ups.

You can come any time between 5:00 and 9:00, but to really make it worth it, come as close to the tabe/nomihodai start time at 5pm as possible!

All you can drink: Draft beer, some cocktails, soft drinks, etc.
All you can eat: Salad, edamame, fried food, yakitori, yakisoba, wieners, fruit, etc.

For drivers
You WILL NOT be able to park at Takashimaya’s garage. However, the area around the station has many parking lots!

The payment deadline is FRIDAY, JULY 5TH AT NOON. There will be a ￥500 GAJET fee charged to every participant for this event. Detailed information on how to make a payment will be shared via email and the Facebook event page.

Please be aware:
(additional information as well as more specific numbers and prices are within the google doc and below)
-There are limited spaces available for each tour spot so please discuss with your friends when you would like to do your tour and coordinate so you can be together.

There are 40 spots available in the main lodge (￥5,000 per night) to stay at. Additionally, there are some glamping options. However, these sell out quickly so make sure to sign up fast!

Welcome to one of GAJET’s biggest and most exciting events of the year: Canyons! Come join your fellow ALTs for a day of whitewater rafting and canyoning in the Minakami mountains! Whether you want to try canyoning, rafting, or BOTH, Canyons offers excellent guided tours in English with a discount for Gunma JETs!
