This year we are looking for those who are interested in the open positions of:

- Regional Representatives
For the election, we are looking for one representative for vice president, one for secretary, up to 2 for social media, and up to 5 genki volunteers for regional representatives. For more details on what each role entails, read the description below or check out this page.

Vice President- Support for the President and team; assumes leadership when the President is unavailable.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in managing GAJET events
-Take lead on projects or committees
-Step in for the President at meetings/events as needed
-Assist the President with community outreach

-Team management
Professional Development: Shows initiative, versatility, and leadership. Great for roles in management, coordination, and nonprofits.
Secretary- Organizational backbone of the team.
Responsibilities:
-Take and distribute meeting minutes
-Maintain and update GAJET calendar
-Maintain records (event planning docs, meeting minutes, event write-ups etc.)
-Send reminders or updates to the team
-Manages GAJET Google Drive
Skills:
-Organization
-Communication
-Note taking
-Calendar management
-Attention to detail
Professional Development: Helps to develop administrative skills and attention to detail. Good for office administration, and policy or documentation-heavy jobs.
Social Media Manager- Handles public communication via social platforms.
Responsibilities:
-Manage GAJET’s Instagram page
-Manage Gunma ALT Facebook page
-Design posts to promote events, share updates, and build community.
-Respond to messages on social media
-Coordinate with Website Administrator and Editor for consistent branding
-Managing the photo contest
-Creating links and documents for uploads
Skills:
-Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Suite, Affinity products, or Canva
-Copywriting
-Branding
-Analytics
Professional Development: Strengthens marketing and communication skills. Great for roles in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
Regional Representative- Act as the voice and liaison for JETs in specific areas (i.e., Hokumō, Tōmō, Chūmō, Seimō)
Responsibilities:
-Communicate with local JETs to gather feedback and promote events
-Help organize regional meetups and activities
-Represent regional needs in GAJET meetings
-Serve as a local point of contact for new JETs

Personal Development: Demonstrates grassroots leadership and relationship-building. Perfect for careers in community engagement and non-profits.
