Takasaki Fireworks 2025

We all had a lot of fun at the Takasaki Festival fireworks! Check out some of the pictures 🎆

GAJET gathered at Wada Sports Field in Takasaki to enjoy the spectacular fireworks show on August 23rd. The dazzling display ran from 7–8pm and lit up the night sky for over 30 JETs, friends, and community members who joined us for the evening.

Our team worked in shifts from the early afternoon to secure a great spot, and attendees met James at Takasaki Catholic Church before heading over together around 6:30pm. After the fireworks, we made sure to tidy up the area before everyone went to enjoy the rest of the night or fight for a spot on a train home.

A special highlight of the night was meeting some students, who were (somewhat) eager to practice their English and even helped us capture a big group photo. Thanks everyone for a wonderful evening of summer celebration, friendship, and community spirit!

If you have any photos from the event you’d like to share, please email them to webmaster@gunmajet.net!

See you next year for the next Takasaki Fireworks!
