Are you looking to meet other ALTs\, get involved in your community\, and make the most of your time in Japan? Then join the 2025-2026 GAJET Committee! \nThis year we are looking for those who are interested in the open positions of: \n\nVice President\nSecretary\nSocial Media Manager\nRegional Representatives\n\nFor the election\, we are looking for one representative for vice president\, one for secretary\, up to 2 for social media\, and up to 5 genki volunteers for regional representatives. For more details on what each role entails\, read the description below or check out this page. \nPlease note that the deadline for sign ups is JUNE 29th @11:59pm! \n  \nVice President- Support for the President and team; assumes leadership when the President is unavailable. \nResponsibilities:\n -Assist in managing GAJET events\n-Take lead on projects or committees\n-Step in for the President at meetings/events as needed\n-Assist the President with community outreach\nSkills:\n -Project management\n-Delegation\n-Event planning\n-Community engagement\n-Team management\nProfessional Development: Shows initiative\, versatility\, and leadership. Great for roles in management\, coordination\, and nonprofits. \n  \nSecretary- Organizational backbone of the team. \nResponsibilities:\n -Take and distribute meeting minutes\n-Maintain and update GAJET calendar\n-Maintain records (event planning docs\, meeting minutes\, event write-ups etc.)\n-Send reminders or updates to the team\n-Manages GAJET Google Drive\nSkills:\n -Organization\n-Communication\n-Note taking\n-Calendar management\n-Attention to detail\nProfessional Development: Helps to develop administrative skills and attention to detail. Good for office administration\, and policy or documentation-heavy jobs. \n  \nSocial Media Manager- Handles public communication via social platforms. \nResponsibilities:\n -Manage GAJET’s Instagram page\n-Manage Gunma ALT Facebook page\n-Design posts to promote events\, share updates\, and build community.\n-Respond to messages on social media\n-Coordinate with Website Administrator and Editor for consistent branding\n-Managing the photo contest\n-Creating links and documents for uploads\nSkills:\n -Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Suite\, Affinity products\, or Canva\n-Copywriting\n-Branding\n-Analytics\nProfessional Development: Strengthens marketing and communication skills. Great for roles in digital marketing\, social media management\, and content creation. \n  \nRegional Representative-  Act as the voice and liaison for JETs in specific areas (i.e.\, Hokumō\, Tōmō\, Chūmō\, Seimō) \nResponsibilities:\n -Communicate with local JETs to gather feedback and promote events\n-Help organize regional meetups and activities\n-Represent regional needs in GAJET meetings\n-Serve as a local point of contact for new JETs\nSkills:\n -Community outreach\n-Event coordination\n-Local leadership\nPersonal Development: Demonstrates grassroots leadership and relationship-building. Enjoy all you can drink/eat (nomi/tabehodai) at URBAN EARTH BBQ on the rooftop of Takasaki Montres on July 12th! \n🍻When: Saturday July 12th\, @6:30pm-8:30pm (2 hours) \n🍻Where: URBAN EARTH BBQ Takasaki Montres (Take the elevators near Pronto on the station floor to the roof! If you leave the front doors of the station\, you’ve gone too far!!!) \n🍻Reservation can hold up to 40 people\, so PLEASE SIGN UP ASAP if you want a spot! \n🍻Price🍻\nKorean Course (w/ alcohol ￥4\,450\, non alcohol ￥3\,950) \nIN ADDITION TO THE COURSE (PRICE DOESN’T CHANGE!) –\nWe are allowed to bring in our own vegetables and meat to roast!
